When you change your oil, check the condition of your oil filter! Especially if the filter is located close to the bottom of the ski. If it is rusted or in poor condition, it is a sure sign you need to change your oil more often to avoid a filter failure.
When flushing your ski, DO NOT turn the water on full force. It can cause damage to electrical and other motor parts.
A customer sent a FB message this morning and asked “Are WSM or SBT pistons any good in my jet ski?”
The simple answer is yes, they are fine. The more accurate answer is it doesn’t really matter.
The piston IS NOT a failure item – we are replacing pistons (in watercraft) due to wear or a failure that was NOT the pistons fault.

When you close the tow valve when towing your ski, tie your key to the hose. This way you will remember to open the valve when you start your ski again.

Do not jump start your jet ski with a car or truck!!!
Car and truck batteries are much too powerful for a jet ski battery to handle. You will end up frying your fuses and electronics.
